It occurred to me tonight, if Followers or first time visitors are going to give a little “Love” (heart) to a post, a way to improve upon this is the add a comment and “rate” the posting on a scale of 1 to 10. A rating of 1 would mean the post is Okay, suitable and (at least) worth reading once. A rating of 5 means the post was “on topic” (clearly relevant to the theme of the tumblr) and provided at least one item of insight that was needed. To carry this rating scheme a bit further, I offer the following:
1 = Okay, suitable, read it once.
5 = Relevant, provoking at least 1 thought.
7 = Relevant, provoked at least 2 thoughts & contained 1 item of importance to the practice of social nudity.
9 = Relevant, provoked at least 3 thoughts & contained 2 items of interest or importance to social nudity.
10 = Excellent content, highly relevant, contained 2 items of importance to the practice of social nudity AND offered or suggested at least 1 new concept/practice or ideal (a 10 rating would probably be worthy of a “Love note” and reblogging every time IF the visitor/viewer’s tumblog also (typically) includes social nudity content.
If a posting is not worthy of a Love note with a rating, it may not be worthy of Liking/Loving at all. That is fine, not every piece of content appeals to everyone equally. There are plenty of reasons why a person might not want to, or be able to comment on a tumblr post or repost it into their own tumblr feed; content curators appreciate every visit, view, or any indication of traffic – at least I know I do!
After reading this post, please consider my “Love+” idea and content rating idea. If this has appeal too, reshare it or copy & paste for reuse with or on any tumblr (don’t forget to change the “social nudity” reference to the principal theme idea of another tumblr if that is where you want it used).
